Separate sealed or electronic bids for the Primary to Northwest Substation 46kV Pole

Replacement, BID 2023-016WL, will be received by the CITY OF TUPELO until 2:00

P.M., LOCAL TIME ON THURSDAY, THE 6TH DAY OF APRIL, 2023 and then at said office

publicly opened and read aloud. Sealed bids will be received until the designated date

and time at TUPELO CITY HALL, 71 EAST TROY STREET, TAX OFFICE, ATTENTION:

JENNIFER SHEMPERT, TUPELO, MS 38804. Electronic bids will be received until the

date and time via electronic online submission at www.tupelomsbids.com

A prebid conference for this project will not be held. “Instructions to Bidders” contains

information concerning prebid conference and qualifications of bidders.

The Project generally consists of the following:

“Furnish labor, material, and equipment on the existing 46kV/15kV

Transmission/Distribution Line to remove 17 wood poles and replace with 18

steel poles along with framing. The existing conductor is 636 MCM ACSR with

336 ACSR distribution underbuild. The transmission line can be de-energized

but left in a state that it can be readily energizes by TW&L if needed. The

distribution line must remain energized.”

The Contract Documents, in printed form, may be examined at the CITY OF TUPELO,

AT CITY HALL, 71 EAST TROY STREET, TUPELO, MS 38804.

The Contract Documents may also be purchased and downloaded electronically from

www.tupelomsbids.com. Any questions about electronic bidding or purchasing bid

documents should direct their questions to Planhouse at 662-407-0193.

Bids will be accepted only under the name of the Bidder to whom contract documents

have been issued, and whose name appears on the official list of Planholders maintained

by the City of Tupelo.

Each bidder must deposit with this bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the

conditions provided in the Information for Bidders.

No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 45 days after the actual date of the opening

thereof.

Simultaneously with his delivery of the executed contract, the Contractor shall furnish

surety bonds subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders.

All applicable laws, ordinances and the rules and regulations of all authorities having

jurisdiction over construction of the project shall apply to the contract throughout.

Each Bidder is responsible for inspecting the site and for reading and being thoroughly

familiar with the Contract Documents. The failure or omission of any Bidder to do any

of the foregoing shall in no way relieve any Bidder from any obligation in respect to this

Bid.

A conditional or qualified Bid will not be accepted. Award will be made to the lowest

responsible, responsive Bidder.

The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all Bids.
