NOTICE is hereby given that the Mayor and City Council of the City of Tupelo, Mississippi will receive
written sealed bids until the hour of 10:00 o’clock A.M. local time on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at
the Purchasing Office, City Hall 1st Floor, 71 East Troy Street, Tupelo, Mississippi, 38804 for the furnishing
of all labor and materials and for the construction of the certain Project designated as the “ENDVILLE
ROAD WIDENING/SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS”, Bid No. 2023-022PW, with Contract Documents and
Specifications being on file at the office of the City Clerk at City Hall in Tupelo, Mississippi. Electronic
bids will be received until the specified date and time via online submission through
Bids are related to the construction of roadway improvements to include the widening of approximately an
1800 LF section of Endville Road from a two-lane to three-lane section with curb & gutter, approximately 580
LF of two-lane section with new curb & gutter and proposed intersection improvements at Countrywood Rd.
and Walsh Rd. Related improvements shall include earthwork/grading, drainage pipe & inlet installation, curb
& gutter, cold milling, asphalt pavement, traffic striping and related improvements to complete the project in
accordance with the Contract Documents. All work shall be performed on public rights-of-way/easements
within the City of Tupelo and shall be provided by the contractor as specified in the Contract Documents as
directed by the City of Tupelo Department of Public Works and Engineering representative. The Project shall
make provisions for all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals required to provide the improvements as
defined in the Proposal document and as represented in the General Conditions of Work, Project Drawings and
Technical Specifications.
The total Contract Time shall not exceed 120 consecutive calendar days. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held
at 1:00 PM local time on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at the Tupelo Public Works Department located at 604
Crossover Rd. in Tupelo, Mississippi. Attendance is not mandatory but it is recommended for the Project
Manager or Project Superintendent that will be assigned to this project for each prospective bidder.
